For those of you born before 1960. . .

Here's a tutorial to help you not feel so weird about reading the post below. Dad, this is mostly for you.

The captions are almost verbatim (I tried to use the cleanest lines, but well, you know) from Justin Timberlake's (he's a pop singer, who was previously on The Mickey Mouse Club, used to date Britney Spears and then Cameron Diaz, and is entirely too full of himself, in my opinion) song, "Sexyback" (hence the title of the post, which was a song that played 24/7 on Top 40 stations every where in 2006 & 2007) I could go on, but I'll let Wikipedia explain:

SexyBack

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"SexyBack" is a song co-written and performed by the American singer Justin Timberlake for his second solo album (2006). It features Timbaland on backing vocals, and earned Timberlake and Timbaland the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. It was produced by Timbaland, Timberlake and Nate "Danja" Hills and released as the album's lead single on July 7, 2006. "SexyBack" is Timberlake's most successful single in Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United States, reaching the number one spot in all of these countries.

"SexyBack" was the longest-running number one single of 2006 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, staying seven weeks at the top, and the second-longest chart-topping single released that year, behind only Beyoncé's "Irreplaceable", which spent ten weeks at number one—three weeks in 2006 and seven weeks in 2007.

In the off chance of offending JTimb, I'll clean up the song a little. But I can't deny that it pops into my head with these pictures. Dad, I'll try and stick to Neil Diamond songs from now on. Deal?

Sexyback

Feel free to sing along. (Clean version in red italics)

I'm bringing sexy back

Them other boys don't know how to act

I think you're special, what's behind your back?

So turn around and I'll pick up the slack

Take 'em to the bridge

Handsome? babe

You see these photos?

Baby I'm your wife?

I'll let you. . . (maybe we should just skip this line since grandma might be reading)

It's just that no one makes me feel this way

Take 'em to the chorus.

Get your sexy on

This Valentine's Day

I am in love twice over:

(Obviously)

and

Tacos Al Pastor

Seriously, these tacos are incredible. I know I probably shouldn't be eating street food everyday, but my heart and tummy call for these, no they dream of these bad boys. I just can't get enough. Maybe as Shakespeare said, "I'll follow you and make a heaven out of hell, and I'll die by your hand which I love so well." Well, hopefully I won't die, but I'm sure it could feel like death at my door. At least my last meal would have been delicious. Yum.

Now if on Valentine's day, I have some of these while spending some QT with Em, I think I will die right then and there. Heart attack. Not even Dr. House could save me (who might be my 6th love, after my new maid, Daniel Craig and Jack Bauer.)

Dirty Laundry

Sometimes you just have to air it out, put it away, and hang it up to dry.

Before you start shuddering in response to our complete disregard for child safety, (Mom, I know you're horrified that we are teaching our children to climb into household appliances which will inevitably lead to the unspeakable. . .not to mention the heap-a-pile-a-shoes and who-knows-what-else on the girls' closet floor next to Wendy,) you should know that we also ride in taxis without car seats, let our children eat off the floor, and frequently encourage nudity. Now you have the dirt on us. Let the hate mail begin in 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .
